This past Sunday morning Gigi launched the first of many AMA's on Stacker News. We learned several things from this type of engagement. The obvious being getting paid for a quick AMA just works. Gigi is a independent writer and well-respected Bitcoiner, he stacked a total of 100,296 sats (see below...also thats not including the sats he made off his comments.)
During this time we saw engagement with stackers right away. Users flooded in to join the Gigi conversation. One of the incentivisation methods that was setup prior to this first AMA was a free sats referral program, which Keyan had built prior to AMA launch.
We saw dozens of these referral links all over twitter to incentivize new users to participate in the first ever Stacker News AMA. It was a social network effect happening in real time.
At Pleb Lab we fundamentally believe Keyan is vastly changing incentives for social networks. He is not only using the hardest money ever created on earth but he has figured out something few understand. As the price of bitcoin rises, Stacker News has potential to be the most profitable global news & community network to ever to exist for its users.
